![]() Brenda Colonna Brenda Colonna was born and raised the youngest of three children on Long Island, New York, which is why she moved to the lower west side of Manhattan by the age of 17. She attended Marymount Manhattan College on a BA acting scholarship, but wasted most of her time trying to feel comfortable in her own skin and attempting to turn Strindberg into a well made comedy. Money well spent. It doesn’t really matter because the rest of her loans are still in deferment. If you ask her, she’ll tell you that period of her life were a complete insecure blur. So she ran from all her problems and came to Los Angeles in January of 2003. Since Brenda has been in LA, she has worked as both a Production and Writer’s Assistant on shows for Comedy Central and MTV. But she feels most comfortable in front of a crowd hearing the roar of laughter. She has finally found herself doing stand up comedy. Brenda has worked all over California and New York, winning many audiences over with her unique juxtaposition style. Her abrasive, in your face, New York attitude perfectly paradoxes her adorable mannerisms and the jovial way she looks at the world. Her main goal is not only to make people laugh, but to have them feel as influenced as many other groundbreaking artist (Amy Sedaris, Jennifer Saunders, Richard Pryor and Eddie Izzard) have done for her. She hopes you enjoy! |
